Congestion Charge changes
The daily Congestion Charge has increased to £18 if paid on the day, or £21 if paid within 3 days.
London has also introduced a new Cleaner Vehicle Discount, which means electric vehicles registered for Auto Pay will pay less. Always confirm your vehicle eligibility and register before travelling.

12:00–18:00 Saturday, Sunday and bank holidays
Note: No charge applies between Christmas Day and the New Year's Day bank holiday (inclusive).
Blackwall & Silvertown tunnels
06:00–22:00 every day of the year
Except: Christmas Day (25 December)
ULEZ
Operates 24 hours a day, every day of the year
Except: Christmas Day (25 December)
LEZ
Operates 24 hours a day, every day of the year.
DVS & HGV Safety Permit
Operates at all times for lorries over 12 tonnes gross vehicle weight.
What this means for drivers
- If you enter the Congestion Charge zone during operating hours, you must pay the same day or within 3 days to avoid a higher fee.
- Electric vehicles registered for Auto Pay may qualify for a lower charge under the Cleaner Vehicle Discount.
- Charges for tunnels, ULEZ, LEZ, and HGV permits run separately from the Congestion Charge, so check each scheme before travelling.
